Synopsis
Six years have passed since Yuka saved the city of Eudaimonia from a magical annihilation. Now part of the “human world”, the city officials and priests are working on establishing relationships and alliances with nearby cities. Yuka, no less, has been blessed as the city’s ambassador and spokeswoman behind the project.
But when she is kidnapped by humans and the Vimyr of Vellanayle (an unlikely alliance) and ransomed for an unreasonable amount of money, the city holds Aramath, her brother and guardian, responsible. Escaping from confinement, he leaves with his two cousins Aspen and Burdock to find out how to fight their new opponent…leading them to the far away ethereal plane of Derramira, home to the Tae and the only race that can assist them.
Meanwhile, Niobe, Latham, Issai, and the paladin Malabar journey to find out what their adversaries are planning…and why.
As Yuka waits for her friends and family in the underground citadel of Nietzsche, she makes her own discoveries about the human/Vimyr coalition…and faces her own terrifying challenges…
